  Please be aware of important deadlines per the requirements in the Election Calendar to ensure getting your paper and electronic ballots ready well in advance of absentee and early voting.

To better understand the process for having electronic and paper ballots programmed for your election, please reference the Arkansas 2007/2008 Election Event Calendar and a Ballot, Programming and Coding Process flow chart. These tools will allow you to see at a glance the steps that need to be accomplished, by whom and by what date.

Please note that ES&S will e-mail or fax a PDF copy of the ballots to you for approval. . The county must approve the PDF no later than 48 hours after receiving PDF copy of ballots.

It is very important that ES&S knows your preferred format and the contact information for the person who is authorized to approve the PDF. Please complete this information clearly on the coding forms.

• Run Off Elections

  As soon as your county determines whether or not a runoff is necessary, please complete all required coding forms and submit to ES&S as instructed in the coding section above. If a run off is anticipated, you may want to fill out as much of the coding forms as possible before hand in order to save time.

  Please mail all applicable media (PCMCIA cards, CF cards, PEB’s, etc.) to ES&S as soon as possible.

Please be sure that you have enough RTAL paper rolls, M-100 paper rolls and communication pack paper rolls and all other necessary supplies prior to the start of early voting.
